All right, so now we have Aneta who we just recorded a podcast episode with but for this mini rapid fire segment, I’m going to ask her some really quick questions. And she has 60 seconds to respond to them. So are you ready Aneta?
Aneta Kuzma 0:35
Maybe yes.
Mahrukh Imtiaz 0:38
That’s fine. Just get your game face on. All right, let’s go. What advice you would give to creators starting with their podcast.
Aneta Kuzma 0:46
Know who your audience is, know what your passion and motivation is. And then just show up authentically.
Mahrukh Imtiaz 0:54
Love it. what advice you would give to creators writing their first book,
Aneta Kuzma 0:58
write a project plan and stick to it every day. So much of writing the book is showing up every day and not not taking a day off like that worked for me.
Mahrukh Imtiaz 1:09
Love it. One thing you love about creating content on LinkedIn,
Aneta Kuzma 1:13
Oh, I’m while they’re my target audience. And I love experimenting. Because LinkedIn changes the algorithms all the time experimenting, you know photos with graphics with carousels with video. And just it really keeps me on my toes to get creative in the way that I present the content.
Mahrukh Imtiaz 1:34
Your last thing with social media, right? Every time you think you know it, they’re like, Oh, gotcha, funny. No, we’re gonna keep things up. One thing you love about being a podcast host,
Aneta Kuzma 1:43
Oh, gosh, the conversations I get to meet the coolest people. And I always leave feeling better and having learned something.
Mahrukh Imtiaz 1:52
Yes, me too. One thing you love about being a first time author, hmm,
Aneta Kuzma 1:57
There is nothing like hearing someone say that they read something. And it inspired them in a way that it just it feels so so good. It’s just amazing. All right, now
Mahrukh Imtiaz 2:09
Let’s do the opposite of that. What do you hate about creating content on LinkedIn,
Aneta Kuzma 2:14
Creating content, even when I’m not inspired to do so. So just the consistency of it all and showing up and hoping that it’s good enough,
Mahrukh Imtiaz 2:24
Right? And so completely, completely agree with that. It’s just showing up on days, you really don’t want to one thing you hate about being a podcast host
Aneta Kuzma 2:33
All the stuff afterwards. It’s a lot of work. Like the fun part is the discussion, all the other stuff, the editing, it takes so much more time. And yet it’s so necessary to provide a really good experience for listeners at the end.
Mahrukh Imtiaz 2:47
Absolutely. So everyone that tells you that it’s quick, easy, and only fun is lying to you. It is worth but it’s totally totally worth it. Because again, you maximize the experience for your listener. For me at least one thing you hate about being an author, that would be tough, not nothing.
Aneta Kuzma 3:07
I mean, I You always want more people you know getting you want to sell more books. And so probably self promotion is the hardest part for me. So maybe that’s the answer.
Mahrukh Imtiaz 3:17
Oh, fair. Fair. Number one advice for beginner mindset coaches starting to create content.
Aneta Kuzma 3:25
Really understand what the the challenge and the issues are for folks, and find different ways to present ways to overcome so it’s like don’t regurgitate someone else’s advice, really internalize it, and share what’s worked for you and hopes that that helps others.
Mahrukh Imtiaz 3:41
Love it. Love it. It’s always about the audience. I like that. Yeah. What’s one thing you wish you had known when you started podcasting?
Aneta Kuzma 3:49
Um, probably all the stuff we’re working on now if I took more time I would have been more concerned about SEO and pages and transcripts and all the other stuff but it might have just detracted me from starting so it’s one of those Yeah,
Mahrukh Imtiaz 4:05
You wish you like yeah, you everything happens in the right time sort of deal. Exactly. Exactly. What’s one thing you wish you had known when you started writing your book,
Aneta Kuzma 4:14
Um, to give myself much more of a runway to promote it to have a strong marketing plan to really be able to take my time with with all of that and it you know, it worked out the way it did. I wanted it out by a certain date. But looking back I probably should have given myself a much longer runway on the marketing side.
Mahrukh Imtiaz 4:35
I love it. I love how like self aware you are. Let’s one common myth about being a podcaster that you want to debunk.
Aneta Kuzma 4:43
I think we talked about it during our episode. It’s you’re not going to get a sponsor day one. You’re not yeah 1000s of people waiting for your podcast episode to drop. You are not the number one necessarily in terms of what podcasts are listening to. So the It’s harder than you think it is. But it’s also better and more fun than you think it is. So,
Mahrukh Imtiaz 5:05
I love it. I love it. What are 20% of things that you did that brought you 80% of the results?
Aneta Kuzma 5:11
Nurturing relationships, building my community? Absolutely. It always comes down to that it is like it you can have 100 people that you are so close to and that you are serving and taken care of. And it’s better than having 10,000 that don’t really pay attention or care.
Mahrukh Imtiaz 5:28
Love it, love it. What’s the biggest most expensive mistake you’ve ever made?
Aneta Kuzma 5:33
I don’t know if it was I would say you’re one I spent a lot of money on a lot of different programs because I was scared to take action. And so I just thought I needed more certifications, more content, everything. So I consolidated all this investment expense in year one. And I probably didn’t need to do that. I could have just taken some time, applied it and then done something a little bit later. So I think that’s probably the biggest mistake.
Mahrukh Imtiaz 5:59
I love it. Yeah, I think all of us have been guilty about that at some point in our lives. Just consuming consuming. Consuming. Yes. What is your best purchase? For under $100? Currently? Oh,
Aneta Kuzma 6:11
Just in general?
Mahrukh Imtiaz 6:13
Yes. In general. Yes.
Aneta Kuzma 6:15
Oh gosh, under 100. You know what? books and journals. Those are my those are my two things if I had invest in anything, books and journals, they will always always come out on top.
Mahrukh Imtiaz 6:29
